Post-holiday recap

It's almost Martin Luther King Day. Let's celebrate by finally posting video of Josie's daycare holiday show. It runs just under 2 minutes. The girl in the red dress next to Josie is Brooklyn, whom Josie calls her best friend.

The holiday season was wonderful. We spent Thanksgiving in St. Louis, staying with my dad and spending the actual holiday with Missy, Walt and Co.

Temperatures soared into the high 60s, which is about 70 degrees warmer than it was when we woke up this morning. We enjoyed the weather by visiting the zoo. By the way, did you know some giraffes come with dark black spots?

We spent Christmas at home with Grandma Chris and Grandpa Steve and, at various other times, Uncle Greg from Minnesota, and Kelly, Mike and the triplets.

Other holiday happenings:

Sam got her nails done and took Annie along for her first pedicure.

Josie got closer to her good pal Hayden:

Hayden, many of you know, spent four nights in the animal hospital. Christmas Eve she hopped up on the counter with her two front paws, snatched and ate two full bags of semi-sweet chocolate chips. It did a number on her heart. After they got that under control, the leg where her IV was became infected.

She's fine now, but we think she misses all the attention she was getting in the hospital.

Oh, and we finally got a good picture of at least one of our children with Santa.

Happy new year.

Love the video! I wish I could have been there too! Ah well, there will be other Christmases . . .
The girls are growing up -- no more toddlers, just kids.
Glad Hayden has recovered -- have you considered a food-safe for the countertop?

Love Love LOVE the picture with Hayden, priceless. I'm very glad she is feeling better too. Dad has a coworker whose lab ate paintballs, aparently those aren't good for labs either. Note to self...

PS - I believe the darker the spots the older the giraffe :)
